She has a passion for imagination and a love of creating. It began with an early interest in JRR.Tolkien and the world of wizards and elves. She has also been greatly influence by the magic that surrounds the holidays, especially Halloween. Her inspiration comes simply from the world around her. She tries to convey with her art the fantastic world we all left behind in our youth, a world where imagination is the fuel for life.
Her website features fine art in various mediums, Denise works primarily in watercolors, pastels and pen and ink. She is often commissioned to do original paintings for collectors all over the world.
Denise's art has been published on the cover of "A Halloween How-to," by Lesley Bannatyne with many of her original illustrations inside. It is one of Amazon’s top selling Halloween books (they say the cover sells the book). This book has sold out 2 printings at the publisher.
Denise has sold her art on Ebay for 5 years with many satisfied customers (witchypoo57). Her completed auctions are in the hundreds with many repeat buyers. She paints Haunted House Portraits for people throughout the year and in many parts of the world. She has created original paintings for collectors, reaching such places as England and Sweden as well as most of the 50 states. Her mailing list is comprised of hundreds of Halloween Art fans that are interested in being informed of her next creation.
Denise is pursuing a career in illustrating and writing children's books. Children's books provide the freedom to be creative without the boundaries of conventional art. This is a passion she has always had.
Denise's work has grown in popularity and will continue to grow as she produces her heartwarming
images. She thanks her family and friends for the love and support they have given her to pursue her love of art but most of all
she thanks the collectors for their dedication.
